Apple’s 16.1 update for the iOS platform brings great news for Switch owners.
Nintendo Switch Online classic controllers are now supported. It is also confirmed that the SNES and N64 devices are compatible with iOS, although we have yet to hear updates if this is also true with NES and SEGA Genesis. But it can be assumed that all of Switch Online controllers work well with iOS devices.
Developer Steve Troughton-Smith took the news on social media yesterday.
The functionality of the Game Controller framework is accessible on macOS 13, iOS 16, and tvOS 16. But users will have to make sure that they’ve updated their devices to the latest iOS version. They will notice the appearance of the controller in the Bluetooth settings when pairing.
